Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro: value for money?

If you are not interested in 5G, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro is one of the best deals on an Android phone – θήκες κινητών – in the middle class. You get a great screen, fast performance, long battery life and a pretty capable camera for 320 €.

Those chasing opportunities on mobile phones can not pass the Redmi Note 10 Pro. This great mobile phone comes at a very affordable price and offers some of the most desirable features in a smartphone, while it manages to outperform important competitors such as the OnePlus Nord N10 5G or the Google Pixel 4a.

The Redmi Note 10 Pro has excellent specifications, from the 120Hz screen to the 108MP main camera. The only real exception is the phone chipset, which could be a little more powerful and does not have 5G capability. Video stabilization is the other issue. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro can record 4K video, but there is no stabilization above 1080p, making it almost useless in many scenarios but only if you want to capture 4K video. These are the bad parts of the Redmi Note 10 Pro. The rest is above average making the Redmi Note 10 Pro at the top of the list of the best cheap phones.

Redmi Note 10 Pro Design

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro combines design features with high and low specifications. It is a mixture that we really like. For example, you have a headphone jack, as in most low-cost phones. But the back of the Redmi Note 10 Pro is slightly curved with Gorilla Glass, and not plastic like most phones in this price range.

The only obvious sign that the Redmi Note 10 Pro is an affordable phone is that its sides are plastic and not metal. Of course, if you use the phone with its case, you can not understand the difference anyway. Redmi’s big selling plan here is not really the rear window, but how impressive the rear row of the camera looks. The main lens has its own shiny silver housing and the two-level border is there to make the camera look even more complete than it is.

The Redmi Note 10 Pro speakers are great for a cheaper phone. They are loud, they offer bass and there are two drivers. One sits at the bottom, the other above the screen. This maximizes the stereo sound field and ensures that you do not close it with your fingers when playing a game. The Redmi Note 10 Pro has an IP53 rating for water and dust resistance. In real terms, this means that dust can enter the phone but will not affect its operation. The phone can stand if a little water falls on it, but do not throw it in the sink or pool.

Redmi Note 10 Pro Screen

The screen of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro is also exemplary. It is a large 6.67 inch 1080 x 2400 OLED screen with 120Hz panel. It offers good sharpness, excellent contrast, deep color and enough space when used for videos and games. The OLED panel is also an excellent showcase for the high rate of renewal. “120Hz” means that the image is refreshed at twice the normal rate and makes your app drawer scroll much smoother than most other budget phones. But the 120Hz unfortunately consumes the battery very quickly. The Redmi Note 10 Pro will hit around 400 nits at maximum indoor brightness, but increases the screen to 594 nits in bright outdoor conditions.

Redmi Note 10 Pro Performance

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro also has the kind of chipset we expect in a phone in this category although we were hoping for something a little better. It is the Snapdragon 732G, a mid-range processor with some game optimizations, which is based on a graphics unit with higher timing. This is not the most powerful processor we have seen around the price. Snapdragon 765G and 750G, used in 5G phones, have more GPU power. Here we have a slightly less powerful 4G alternative.

The daily performance of the Redmi Note 10 Pro is satisfactory for phones in this price range and it has no problem even in games with strong graphics. The phone also has a generous fast 6 GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128 GB storage is also fast. There is also a model with 8 GB and it comes in two 64GB / 128GB memory configurations.

Redmi Note 10 Pro Camera

Turn the Redmi Note 10 Pro over and you will see four cameras, the main one being the main 108MP camera with Samsung ISOCELL HM2 sensor, which is the same resolution found in the realme 8 Pro. This lens is mated to an 8MP wide-angle camera, a 5MP macro lens and a 2MP depth sensor. There is also a 16MP selfie camera located inside a punch-hole in the center of the screen.

Good light and steady hand, combined with a still subject and the Redmi Note 10 Pro can capture fantastic amounts of information and detail that can be cut comfortably and still have good detail.

Redmi Note 10 Pro Battery

As for the battery, you have a significant 5020mAh drive, which supports fast 33W charging. With a full charge I took about a day and a half with normal average use in the device but with a screen refresh rate of 60Hz when the rate was at 120Hz the mobile easily lasted a day. Although when I was playing games at 120Hz I could not make the day with a single charge. The good thing of course is that with 27 minutes of charging the mobile reached 50% of the battery while at 100% it went in about an hour.
